Author Identification
AUTHOR IDENTIFICATION AND CONTRIBUTIONS
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding authorship, contribution and attribution.
Authorship criteria
To be listed as an author of an article, a person must meet all of the following criteria:
1) Have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, acquisition, analysis or interpretation of the data for the work.
2) Have participated in drafting the manuscript or in its critical revision with relevant intellectual contributions.
3) Have approved the final version submitted for publication.
4) Take public responsibility for the content of the article, ensuring that questions related to its accuracy or integrity have been investigated and resolved.
Anyone who has collaborated on the work without meeting all these criteria (technical support, translation, funding, language editing) should be mentioned in an Acknowledgements section, not as an author.
ORCID identifier
All authors must provide their ORCID identifier when submitting the manuscript. ORCID is a persistent and unique identifier that distinguishes each researcher and unambiguously links their scientific output, avoiding confusion arising from homonyms, name changes or variations in signature. See the ORCID information page for more details.
Contribution statement (CRediT)
Authors are recommended to specify the individual contributions of each signing person following the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy), which defines 14 standardised roles (conceptualisation, methodology, software, validation, formal analysis, investigation, resources, data curation, writing the original draft, review and editing, visualisation, supervision, project administration, funding acquisition). This statement will be included at the end of the manuscript.
Order of authors
The order of authors in the article's by-line must be agreed by all of them before submission. The journal respects the established order and does not make modifications without the explicit consent of all signing persons.
Changes in authorship
Any modification of the author list (addition, removal or change of order) after manuscript submission will require a reasoned request to the editorial team signed by all authors —including the affected author— at arteyciudad@ccinf.ucm.es. These modifications are evaluated case by case in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Corresponding author
The article must clearly identify the corresponding author, the person responsible for communication with the journal during all phases of the editorial process and after publication.
