PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación conducts a refereed review process using the double-blind method. Once it has been verified that the articles received meet the journal's editorial criteria (in format and subject matter), they are sent for evaluation to two "blind" reviewers who will issue their report within a maximum of 30 days from notification. Once the evaluations have been received, the journal's editorial committee will make the final decision, which may be:
1) Acceptance without modifications
2) Acceptance with modifications
3) Rejection. The decision will be communicated to the author(s) as soon as possible.
PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación is published semi-annually, in April and October. Exceptionally, the journal may also publish special monographic issues, always in periods between the regular publication dates.
OPEN ACCESS POLICY
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación adheres to the various initiatives that promote open access to knowledge, so all content of Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación is freely and openly accessible.

Unless otherwise indicated, all content in the electronic edition is distributed under a "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International" (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación follows a rigorous control process for received originals to avoid scientific misconduct, in accordance with the recommendations and international standards established by the following organisations:

For Authors
Submitting an article to Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación implies a declaration of authorship. All authors listed on the article must have contributed intellectually to its preparation; they must have read and approved the submitted manuscript, accompanied by their corresponding declaration of authorship and good practices.
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación reminds manuscript authors that their content must be original and unpublished, and not under evaluation by other publications during the six months following its receipt. Authors are solely responsible for the content of their articles. Arte y Ciudad is a non-profit publication of a university, academic, and scientific nature. In the case of accepted works, it is understood that their authors waive any patrimonial copyright, although not the moral right to their contribution, transferring to the Editor the rights of publication and partial or total reproduction of their contributions.
Authors of manuscripts submitted to Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación ensure that the manuscript has not been published, nor is currently being evaluated in another publication, and is therefore an unpublished work. Furthermore, the content of the manuscript is of original and own authorship, and they have participated in all phases of its preparation, considering the submitted manuscript as the definitive version for evaluation.
Authors guarantee that none of the data presented in the submitted manuscript has been plagiarised, fabricated, manipulated, or distorted. The original sources on which the information contained in the manuscript is based are identified and cited, as are the theories and data from other previously published works. Likewise, the source of figures, tables, data, photographs, and images is properly cited in the article, and the necessary permissions for their reproduction in any format are provided where applicable, assuming in all cases the cost of reproduction rights or any incident arising from the infringement of intellectual or commercial property rights.
Authors are solely responsible for the content of their articles. Likewise, Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación will retain the rights protected by law over their works. Unless otherwise indicated, all content in the electronic edition is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license (BY-NC).
For Reviewers
Reviewers commit to performing a critical, honest, constructive, and unbiased review of both the scientific and stylistic quality of the writing in the field of their knowledge and skills.
Reviewers commit to evaluating works in the shortest possible time to respect deadlines, given that the limits for holding manuscripts in waiting are limited and inflexible out of respect for authors and their works.
Reviewers only review a manuscript if they feel competent in the subject matter to be reviewed and if there are no conflicts of interest. Reviewers will deliver a complete critical report with appropriate references according to the review protocol of Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación, especially if the work is proposed to be rejected. They are obliged to warn the editors if substantial parts of the work have already been published or come from any kind of plagiarism. Likewise, when appropriate, they will offer suggestions for an author to improve their article. Reviewers must not use or disseminate unpublished information, arguments, or interpretations contained in a manuscript under their consideration.
For Editors
The journal's editors will seek to disseminate the articles published in Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación for online consultation and/or download worldwide, through all available means and channels, with the aim of disseminating their content among the scientific community and including the article in national and international indices or databases.
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación commits to maintaining the confidentiality of manuscripts and their authors, and to treating them with full equality of circumstances and impartiality. It also commits to selecting the most suitable and scientifically qualified reviewers to issue a critical and expert assessment of the work.
Among the journal's duties is to increase its quality indices to stand out from other journals in the same scientific area, for which it will use the means at its disposal.
Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación permits the use of the content of its publications for teaching and research purposes. However, anyone who decides to reproduce all or part of the content of the journal's works must cite their source.
The editors and Editorial Board of Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación will avoid all kinds of conflicts of interest.
Copyright
