Abstract

Paris is one of the most cinematographic cities in the world: its streets, its avenues and many of its most emblematic monuments and spaces have led to scenes in French and international films. But opposite to this tendency and supported during decades it appears “Paris, je t’aime” (2006), a film that is structured in eighteen short films directed by international directors who belong to different movements and styles. Departing from the association district/neighborhooddirector, this film offers a view of the “city of the light” distanced from the predom inant one and it finds in love its principal support. Eighteen stories that share the same character and which find in the least known Parisian streets the best locations for their developments.
