Miguel Ángel Martín Blanco, Las murallas de Segovia. Proceso histórico constructivo [The Walls of Segovia: Historical Construction Process], Ed. Cervantes, Segovia, 2021. This monograph constitutes the most complete and rigorous study to date on the walls of Segovia, approaching its analysis from a cross-disciplinary perspective that combines architecture, archaeology, history, and urban planning. The author organizes the work around three axes — reading, understanding, and interpreting the wall — tracing its evolution as a constructive palimpsest from Celtiberian and Roman defenses, through the Hispano-Muslim wall and the Christian repopulation under Alfonso VI, to modern and contemporary interventions. The reviewer regards the work as a major scholarly contribution that, with rigor and precision, rescues from neglect a monument fundamental to the history and architecture of the city.
