Abstract

The argumentation developed below focuses on the function of art and design in public space. First, in a very succinct, almost axiomatic manner, an attempt is made to define the concepts expressed in the title. Second, it is highlighted that art and design, while not to be confused, suffer the same setbacks and clichés when confronting public space. Finally, the discourse is carried out through exemplification, where the contradictions of concepts and artistic practices and intervention in said space are manifested.
