The spanish transition to democracy was connected with the appearance of mural painting in the urban space, that played a main role in the freedom of expression for political parties and citizens, as well as a means of bring closer artistic creation to whole society. This article try to expose a general approach to the development of mural painting in Spanish public space from the very last years of dictatorship to the Transition.
