CuVo Videoarte. Festival itinerante para el debate sobre las experiencias video-artísticas, curated by José María de los Santos and Carmen Vera, organized by Investigación y Arte, Madrid, 2017, DVD format, edition of 60 copies. The festival, conceived as a travelling event focused on the theme «Inspiration and the Modern Muses», selected eight video works by artists from five nationalities from among 42 submissions received in an international open call. The selected videos span diverse typologies—post pop, post internet, found footage, conceptual, video-clip, and cinematic—featuring works by Eduardo Fernández Peral, José W. Paredes, Antonio Pedraza, David Placer, Roland Quelven, Nacho Ramírez, Alicia de la Torre, and Rafael Triana. The reviewer evaluates the initiative positively as a timely opportunity to promote video art and support the professional visibility of its creators.
