Román de la Calle (coord.), Entre la crisis, la resistencia y la imaginación. Los diez últimos años del arte valenciano contemporáneo (2008-2018), Valencia, Universitat Politècnica de València, 2020, ISBN 978-84-9048-867-6. The volume inaugurates the InterdisciplinARS series of the UPV press and brings together seventeen chapters by twenty authors—university professors, gallery owners, artists, journalists, and other professionals—who analyse Valencian artistic production during the decade of economic crisis from 2008 to 2018. Each chapter addresses a specific discipline or field—architecture, illustration, fine arts, industrial design, performing arts, experimental music, cultural management, curatorship, or art and therapy—offering an interdisciplinary panorama of resistance and creativity in the face of adversity. The reviewer highlights the coherence of the whole and the coordinator's success in bringing together diverse voices who share experiences and research around the same historical period.
