Curaduría del patrimonio. Sobre el futuro del pasado en el paisaje cotidiano de la metrópoli Madrid

La incorporación del paisaje a los estudios de patrimonio ha terminado por ampliar los límites de ambos campos. Así, el concepto de patrimonio se ha ampliado para abarcar aquello que pertenece a las redes de afectos que las comunidades forjan con los lugares que habitan; es decir, aquello a lo que las personas atribuyen valor al reconocerse a sí mismas en su entorno vital. Este trabajo ofrece una discusión teórica sobre el reconocimiento y la protección de valores en los paisajes cotidianos de la metrópoli de Madrid. Para ello, examina tres exposiciones recientes promovidas por el espacio cultural CentroCentro: Madrid acuosa (2021), dedicada a la gestión del agua en la ciudad; La ciudad del Futuro: de la huerta a la mesa (2021-2022), sobre la desconexión agroalimentaria entre la ciudad y el campo; y Entre río y raíles (2022-2023), un recorrido por las transformaciones desde el siglo XIX del pasillo ferroviario, en las antiguas terrazas fluviales del Manzanares. Aunque se presentaron al público como relatos sobre diversos temas socioambientales de actualidad, el estudio detallado de sus contenidos y el análisis de sus esquemas interpretativos permite identificar discursos de patrimonialización consistentes. El examen permite discutir la idea de la curaduría como práctica crítica para pensar el patrimonio desde el pasado, en el presente, para el futuro. Esta práctica se basa en la recopilación, selección y atribución de valor a objetos, lugares y prácticas mediante un montaje transitorio. De este modo, la curaduría se redefine como una forma específica de producción de conocimiento reflexivo que incorpora la estética en su método. Al mismo tiempo, puede salir de las salas de exposición para investigar el patrimonio en su dimensión espacial y contribuir a imaginar paisajes futuros para la metrópoli.
