This qualitative study, utilizing interview and focus groups, analyzes a collaboration between the Madrid City Council and Boa Mistura aimed at transforming the urban environment through contemporary art. Despite being an action carried out in 2018, the results reveal a high recall rate and a positive association of poetry with well-being, particularly noticeable in Generation Z. Likewise, diverse generational preferences are identified regarding perceived benefits, ranging from civic pride to social inclusion. These findings highlight the need for urban policies adaptable to different generations and underscore the importance of artistic expressions as vehicles for civic engagement capable of evoking significant emotional responses in cities, fostering community cohesion, and civic identity.
